Materials:
shoots
Sunflower seeds
carrots (with tails, if possible)
lettuce
broccoli
grapes
poster showing different parts of the plant

What should be done:

1. Show a poster that shows different parts of the plant.

2. Show the children all the collected products and explain, which part of the plant they are.

Sunflower seeds are seeds.

Carrots are the root.

Lettuce is leaves.

Broccoli is flowers.

Grapes are fruit.

3. Encourage children to taste all the products.

Caution: Consider food allergies in children and avoid risky foods. Cut the grapes in halves, to minimize the risk of choking.

Landscape design

manure
Earth
gravel
sand
sphagnum
vermiculite
glue
paper

What should be done:

1. Place samples of all collected materials on the table top.

2. Have each of the children look at the material, touches them, smell them, etc..

3. Encourage the little ones to "plan the landscape” by sticking individual materials to a large sheet.
