MEASUREMENT

Materials:
growth table
paper tape for a cash register
paper circles in diameter 7,5 cm

What should be done:

1. Hang the height chart on the wall and measure all the children. Using paper tape, tear off strips that are as long as each child is tall.

2. Give each of the little ones a paper circle with a diameter 7,5 cm.

3. Encourage children, that they draw faces on these circles and attach them to the paper tapes.

4. If you want, do this exercise in the fall (after the start of the school year) and in late spring (at the end of the school year). Encourage the children to compare their height in the two periods.

What else can be done:

Blocks: Encourage children, to build a block tower equal to their height.

maths: Have the children practice measuring the various objects in the room.
