The multiplication aspect of activities is related to the recalculation of the size of the set. Let us just remind you, that in the earliest phase of shaping the ability to perform actions on natural numbers, when the child is at the stage of specific surgery, illustration on concrete is also used. Same, in the initial phase of shaping concepts and skills, tasks must also relate to such situations, which relate to particulars, items, which the teacher can bring to the lesson. They can be small items, like chestnuts, apples, carrots dolls or models of toy cars. Gradually, as you gain experience, particulars are replaced with equivalents, alternates, illustrations. Instead of apples, marchewek, toy car models, dolls are used, for example, conventional items, which will function as real objects, real ones. It's good, when they are items that do not suggest a different type of object, other explicit use of an alternate. It is not advisable, to use pens to illustrate carrots, and for the illustration of balls apples. Wooden cubes can be a good counterpart in various situations, preferably unpainted, only waxed, not causing allergies in a child.
