Fruit explorers
SNACKS AND COOKING
Materials:
several types of fruit, preferably less popular
decorative plates
sharp knives (for adult use only)
small plastic plates or cups
napkins
What should be done:
1. Bring some types of less common fruit to the hall, for example mango, coconut, pineapple, avocado etc..
2. Talk to your children about nutritious foods, especially fruit. Ask the little ones, what kind of fruit they like best, and have they ever tried any less popular genres.
3. Show the children the fruit you brought, before you cut them. Cut all fruit into small pieces and arrange samples on plates or cups.
4. Encourage children to try all the fruits and choose their favorites.
Caution: Pay attention to any food allergies among children and adjust the menu accordingly.
