GESTURES, SONGS AND POEMS
Materials: lack
What should be done:
1. Read the following rhyme to the children, by making the gestures described:
A caterpillar crawls around,
Chewing tasty leaves. (pretend, that you pick and eat a leaf)
Then she cocoons herself, (Turn around)
Have you seen it?
Then she jumps out of it (jump forward)
And it stretches to the sides. (stretch your arms out to your sides)
He feels the sun on his wings,
Flies away under the clouds, (pretend, that you flap your wings and take off)
2. Repeat the rhyme, so that the children can also make further gestures.
What else can be done:
Rhythm: Turn on the music and encourage the children to play the caterpillar. Let the little ones stand one behind the other, they grab each other's hips and start running around the room to the rhythm of the music.
There was once a caterpillar

Materials:
lack
What should be done:
Sing the following song to the children:
There was once a caterpillar,
Which one used to be on a leaf
She wrapped herself in a cocoon
And she fell asleep in the sun.
When she was asleep, she thought so:
“To have wings like butterflies,
It must be extremely nice”.
When she finally woke up,
Her dream came true!
What else can be done:
Plasticity: Build a caterpillar out of egg cartons.
