This is how it's snowing

This is how it's snowing

GESTURES, SONGS AND POEMS

Materials: lack

What should be done:

1. Sing the following song::

This is how it's snowing, it's snowing,
It flies from the sky, falls from trees, falls from trees,
This is how it's snowing; it's snowing,
In the cold, a cold day.

2. Also add new lines to the song, singing about other winter weather phenomena.

We are building a snowman

GESTURES, SONGS AND POEMS

Materials: lack

What should be done:

1. Read the following rhyme to the children, showing subsequent gestures: We will build a snowman!

Round as a bubble, (make a circle with your hands)
We will use a lot of snow,
What fell this morning, (put your hands up, then lower it down by waving your fingers
We will make a large ball, (make a huge circle with your hands)
So that the snowman stands firm! (stamp your foot)
Then another, smaller,
To have a nice tummy. (stroke your belly)
Finally, a small head
It will be at the top, (enter, that you put the snowman's head on)
On her eyes, nose and smile, (show your own face)
Stand up, when you are done! (freeze without moving)

2. Repeat the rhyme and encourage the children to make all the gestures.

What else can be done:
Plasticity: Make your own snowman. Use white plastic plates and bowls of different sizes. Combine the two plates and the bowl, creating more segments of the snowman, then decorate them with felt-tip pens, colored paper, glue and other plastic utensils. From the next one, smaller bowl, make a snowman's hat, notching it on opposite sides and hooking the notches to the plate.
